Who We AreFar East Region, Office of the Regional Director Falling under the U. S. Army Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 for Civilian Personnel, Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), the Far East Region is part of the Army's initiative to mold personnel functions into a corporate structure, enabling equitable, efficient, and effective management of Civilians worldwide. The Far East Region serves appropriated fund, non-appropriated fund, and local national (LN) Civilian employees, managing all aspects of the human resources life-cycle--from recruiting to retirement. The office of the Regional Director is located on USAG Yongsan, Seoul, Korea. Along with providing oversight for regional operations, the Regional Director’s office plans for future human resource management needs and develops innovative strategies to better serve customers. Civilian Personnel Advisory Center The Far East Region Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers (CPACs) are the outlying advisory offices established to assist managers and employees with civilian personnel matters. CPACs provide guidance on matters such as recruitment methods and options, appraisals and awards, labor and management-employee relations, automation tools (DCPDS, ART, etc.), and more. CPACs also provide the full range of U.S. staffing and classification services to include posting job announcements, issuing referral lists, and classifying positions. Each CPAC provides services for non-appropriated fund (NAF), appropriated-fund (GS/WG), and LN positions. Processing Center The Far East Region Processing Center (PRC) is located on USAG Henry, Daegu, Korea. The PRC provides the full range of LN staffing and classification services to include posting job announcements, issuing referral lists, and classifying positions. The PRC is also where the centralized processing and maintenance occurs for US/LN appraisals and awards, personnel actions, official personnel files (OPFs) and more. |
